Then this service is not for you
- Your spouse does not want the divorce, or disputes the ancillary matters.
- Maintenance, the equalisation of accrued gains (Zugewinnausgleich) or parental custody are unresolved and contested.

Review & power of attorney
We check your details personally. You then sign the power of attorney (Vollmacht) and the fee information digitally – and simply send us the original power of attorney by post afterwards.
Petition filed with the court
As a rule the draft of your divorce petition reaches you for approval shortly after you instruct us. Once you have approved it, we file it electronically with the family court that has jurisdiction – your spouse simply gives their consent, without a lawyer of their own.
The hearing – by video if you wish
The divorce hearing usually lasts only a few minutes. On application you take part from home by video link, if the court agrees.
Transparent: the statutory fees – nothing more.
We bill exclusively in accordance with the German Lawyers' Remuneration Act (RVG), with no fee agreement above the statutory rates. The amount depends on the case value (Verfahrenswert), which is set by the court – here you can calculate the costs to be expected.
The pension rights adjustment balances the pension entitlements acquired during the marriage – every state, occupational or private pension counts as an entitlement in its own right. If you are unsure, simply choose “I don't know” – we will clarify this when we review your enquiry.

Non-binding estimate. The case value is set by the court (§§ 43, 50 FamGKG); billing is based on the statutory fees calculated from the value the court sets. Only the petitioning spouse needs a lawyer – as a rule the two of you share the court costs equally. If your income is low, legal aid for court costs (Verfahrenskostenhilfe) is possible. Amounts are shown in the German format (e.g. 2.000,00 €).

- Birth certificates of joint minor children
- Marriage contract (Ehevertrag) or agreement on the consequences of divorce (Scheidungsfolgenvereinbarung), if you have one

Clear answers before you start
Does my spouse need a lawyer of their own?
No. In an uncontested divorce only the petitioning spouse needs a lawyer. Your spouse can consent to the divorce at the hearing without a lawyer of their own (§ 114 (4) no. 3 FamFG). Important: we represent only the spouse who instructs us – representing both sides is prohibited to lawyers by law.
How long does an uncontested divorce take?
As a rule 4 to 6 months from the filing of the petition. Most of the time is taken up by the pension information required for the pension rights adjustment. Where the pension rights adjustment has been excluded by a publicly recorded agreement, or does not apply (marriage of less than three years, on application), matters often move considerably faster.
Do we have to attend court in person?
There is a short divorce hearing – usually only a few minutes. On application, the court may permit attendance by video link (§ 32 (3) FamFG in conjunction with § 128a ZPO). You then take part from home, wherever in Germany your proceedings are pending.
What does the divorce cost – and who pays?
Court costs and the statutory lawyer's fees arise; both are based on the case value set by the court. We charge no surcharges and no fee agreement above the statutory fees. The court costs are generally shared equally; the lawyer's fees are borne by the client. Many couples share the total costs between themselves – you are free to agree that as you wish. And what about the distance? It makes no difference to your costs: we represent you before every family court in Germany at the same statutory fees as a firm based directly on the spot. We do not invoice travel expenses – on application we attend the hearing by video link.
What about the year of separation?
As a matter of principle, a divorce requires that you have been living apart for one year (§§ 1565, 1566 BGB). Living apart is also possible within the shared home, provided you run separate households. The petition can be filed shortly before the year of separation expires – we will clarify the right moment with you.
We have a marriage contract or an agreement on the consequences of divorce. Is that still possible?
Yes – it even speeds the procedure up. In the form you simply state the agreement and upload it; we take it into account in the petition.
What if we do end up in dispute after all?
Our platform is deliberately limited to uncontested divorces. If a dispute over ancillary matters arises in the course of the proceedings, we will discuss openly with you how to proceed – transparently and without hidden additional costs.
My income is low. Can I afford the divorce?
Yes. If your income is low you are entitled to legal aid for court costs (Verfahrenskostenhilfe, VKH) – the state then covers the court and lawyer's fees in whole or in part. We prepare the VKH application together with you; in the form a single tick is enough.
